How to use Year 1 Science practice
Start with a real observation, object or situation whenever possible. Ask the learner what they notice before asking why it happened. Encourage them to distinguish an observation from an explanation, use evidence, compare examples and explain their thinking in simple language.
Practice is most useful after the child understands the concept. Incorrect answers can then become opportunities to revisit the observation or model rather than simply trying another option.
